on .Note: This article was written by hand in HTML. I haven't gotten around to setting up any sort of proper blogging platform yet, so I'm winging it. I haven't even decided on a URL scheme for these posts yet, so don't rely on permalinks being permanent.
I've been kind of in a funk the last few days and haven't been doing any drawing for Erin & Shelly's No-Nut November! lately, other than a little bit of thumbnailing last night. Maybe once I get my sleep schedule back under control I'll have more energy and motivation to work on it.
Part of the problem is that I'm just getting tired of drawing the same two characters page after page. I'm bored of what I'm drawing, so I rush to try to get it done faster, so the result doesn't look very good, so I get discouraged and don't want to draw. Not sure how to get out of this cycle.
Another part of the problem is that visibility on the comic on itch feels pretty bad. I'm used to getting a big spike on views and downloads when publishing a game jam project, but looking back on my metrics, I can't see any bump at all on the day I published the first seven pages.
Much to think about.
